Rodney Strong’s “RSV Green Light” Pledge – Free CFL Bulb

Rodney Strong’s “RSV Green Light” Pledge – Free CFL Bulb

As a family owned winery with California farming roots dating back four generations, tending the land with care and respect has always been in the forefront of our hearts and minds. After taking a long, hard look at our vineyard lands, our winery and our company, we discovered dozens of ways – both large and small – we could modify our operations to benefit the environment.
One of those ways was installing one of the largest solar electric systems in the wine world in 2003, generating enough energy to power 800 homes and reducing our dependence on the power grid by 35%. Additionally, custom lighting systems use motion sensors and energy efficient light fixtures to reduce energy use, minimize heat output in climate sensitive locations and optimize light quality. In 2009, we became the first carbon neutral winery in Sonoma County, through the ClimateSmart program.
Replace just one ordinary light bulb for an energy-efficient CFL bulb and help conserve and protect the environment. This simple swap will reduce your energy costs by up to 85%.

We know that change starts with us and that by taking a concerted action we can all make a difference. The RSV Greenlight Pledge is brought to you in part by PG&E’s ClimateSmart™ program.
I pledge to support Rodney Strong’s “RSV Green Light” by changing at least one standard light bulb with an energy efficient CFL bulb in my home or office. This is my way of helping conserve energy and protect our environment one CFL bulb at a time.
